I am trying to wrap my mind around the following: "90 umpteen bazillion trillion days"

"umpteen" has no concrete definition; it is presumed to be nomenclature for countable infinity. However, let's assume it is a 'teen,' and say it is worth 19.

"bazillion" also is not concrete per se, but it seems to be a mix of "billion" and "gazillion." Unfortunately, "gazillion" has no concrete finite ordinal, though it also implies, roughly, infinity.

So what we're left with is a countable infinite number of days you'll floss, starting at a count no less than:

90 x 19 (umpteen) x 1 billion x (gazillion) x 1 trillion

According to my calculations, that is:
1,710,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 days, or 1.71 septillion days

- This uses the loose approximation of 19 for "umpteen"
- This also totally ignores the "gazillion" multiplier

4,681,724,845,995,893,223,819 years
This is still 4.68 septillion years

That is a lot of floss...

Assume that you need 18" of floss per day: 1.5 feet. That is:

2,565,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 feet, or
855,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 yards

Most little packs are 50 yards each, but even if you buy the 200 yard spools, you are looking at:

4,275,000,000,000,000,000,000 spools

The cheap stuff is $2/spool:

$8,550,000,000,000,000,000,000

That is a fortune. I'm gonna call you the "Floss Heiress."

All financial considerations aside, let's be generous and say that 200 yards of floss occupies 1 cubic inch. That is just as many cubic inches as spools, or:

29,687,500,000,000,000,000 cubic feet

400,000 square feet is a pretty average size for a landfill. Just for reference, that is 9.18 acres.

So assuming you have your own landfill,
- it will be piled 74,218,750,000,000 feet high.
- That is 14,056,581,439 1/3 miles high. I think the FAA would regulate the atmosphere above your landfill before they'd allow you to floss again.

Really, though, that many cubic feet is 840,656,383.2 cubic KM, which, incidentally, is the size of a small moon 16,358 1/3 miles in diameter. For the record, that is 1/5 the diameter of earth's moon's diameter. The biggest ball of twine in Minnesota can't hold a candle to that.

Can I ask what brand you'll be buying? Now seems like a good time to invest ...
